Some Info for you!

Hey everybody here is just some info that I can share with you,

The city I will be living in is called Shi Jia Zhuang. (Look at the map to the right to see where it is) It is a fairly large city, and the capital of Hebei providence. It is only 200 miles outside of Beijing, so just a quick train ride and I’m there.

My Departure date is February 25th and i will be flying to LA for a single day conference and then fly to Beijing the following day. I know that nobody is even thinking about this but I return back to the states on July 27th.

I recently was placed with a Host Family!!! Their family name is Zhao, and the Father is named Yali and he is 39 years old. The mother is named lizhen and is also 39. And they have a son named Yifeng and he is only 13. I haven’t contacted them yet but do intend to very soon. Sounds like a great family.

The school i will be attending is called "No.42 Middle School" This is a "College or faculty specializing in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL)" Not sure what this means but sounds good to me :)

There are a total of seven of us going over (I have no idea how I could have possibly gotten this scholarship) we will be together in class but all of us will have different host families. I have met one kid who lives up by Cleveland so we have been talking.

Ok that’s all I have for today... Only 19 more days... YEEEKK!
